Oh happy day! On November 13, 2013, Hawaii became the sixteenth jurisdiction in the United States (15 states, plus the District of Columbia) to extend the freedom to marry to same sex couples when Gov. Neil Abercrombie signed the freedom to marry into law.
Kauai has always been a popular location for destination weddings and visitors come here year round to enjoy the island’s blessings. Kauai’s people are genuinely happy and courteous, and that reputation is carrying over to the LGBT community. People on Kauai support marriage equality with love and aloha!
The island of Kauai, whose dramatic scenery—primeval rain forests, jagged cliffs, majestic waterfalls, white sandy beaches — has numerous film credits, including The Descendants, Jurassic Park, 6 Days 7 Nights, The Thorn Birds and the steamy noir Body Heat. Can you see yourself bound in love on Kauai?
Kauai sunset weddings are the most popular, setting the stage for a romantic same sex Hawaiian wedding. Same sex ceremonies can be religious, non-religious and are often adapted to create just the right ceremony for people – emotionally, spiritually and intellectually.
Celebrate your love on Kauai with us!
